I've noticed that my blogs are rather boring. It seems all I ever write about is that I have some test I need to study for but I haven't and that I'm tired and need sleep. And maybe I've been a bit selfish in blabbing about my boring day, so for something completely different:

Hi! How are you?
Please respond here
Really? So _(fill in the blank)_ to hear that. How was your day?
and here
Mmhmm...
also here
Wow, really?!
and here
You don't say?
don't forget about here
Oh, good grief! You've got to be kidding?!
and end your response right about here
Oh well. Me? Oh, nothing much. You know, same old stuff, but thanks for asking. Well, I unfortunately must get back to my attempts to study/sleep. It was awesome talking with you. Take care and I'll talk to you soon.
I'm tired but I can't quite fall asleep yet. Thank God there isn't any school tomorrow, but I have a final Tuesday and Wednesday is CPR class.

The 2nd part of I-Ching acupuncture was just Dr. Chen treating students and their family and friends. It's pretty interesting to watch, especially when he drives a needle 1 1/2 - 2 inches into the spine.

I ended up playing the Sims again and my Sim-self got abducted by aliens. I wasn't quite sure if I'd have to start all over again or what, but the aliens ended up bringing me back. It's sad to see how easily I'm amused.

Today was the I-Ching seminar. It was very interesting. Tomorrow is the second day of the seminar and it'll be more of a Q&A day along with some free treatments for anyone suffering from pain: headache, pain from the shoulders and on down the arms and/or pain in the legs down. Maybe he'll show us more back pain treatments but I don't know if anyone, other than Ben, is interested in having a 24-28 gauge needle shoved into their spinal cord.

I removed the Sims from my computer today. If I didn't, I wouldn't be here writing in this blog, lol. But I did manage to make a Sims Nalini and a Sims Witold. I just need to add a Sims Quinn, Tiffany, and Gilbert. Maybe a Sims Cat as well, but then I'll definetly need to throw in some single Sims guys, which I don't know of any, lol. Oh good grief, I'm addicted to Sims. Gilbert told me I need to get the Sims Hot Date expansion. Maybe my Sims won't be so depressed then...

Thank you to everyone who has been praying for my mom, she was in the hospital for 1 night of observation and all the tests that they ran came back negative which is good b/c it means she didn't have a heartattack. But, we have no idea what's wrong. Hopefully everything will be taken care of soon.

Made a huge mistake by buying The Sims. I spent 6 hours playing and didn't even realize it! I'm so in trouble especially with finals just around the corner! Oh well, this will be a lesson in self control, which I so don't have.

Monday, May 24, 2004

Before I get started, I'm asking a for a favor from those who read this and it's for prayers for my mom. She's in the hospital for observation and tests b/c she was experiencing stabbing chest pains that radiated slightly to the left and straight through to her back along with some pain in her arms. So please pray that they find out what's wrong and can fix it. Thanks.

On a much lighter note, yay! I'm part of Team Sushi(Nalini, Witold, Quinn, and myself)! Lol! I think we need a t-shirt or bumper sticker or something now.

Congrats to Nalini for 3 jobs! She'll be raking in the $$$.

The Swan finale pageant was on tonight. That show is one of my guilty pleasures, lol. And tomorrow night is the American Idol finale! It's a good thing I don't have to worry about tests right now.

Woohoo!!!! I had a blast today with Larry and Steven, Angelica's cousins. We decided that we were going to go to Islands of Adventure and skip out on Universals's Studios b/c Islands had more rides. I was going to use my AAA membership for a discount, but we found out that they only use discounts on 2 or 3 day passes. A 1 day pass is about $58 and a 1 day hopper pass is $74. We found out about a place that sells unused passes at a discount price and were very lucky to get 3 1 day hopper passes for about $48 a piece!
We went straight to Universal's Studios to ride Revenge of the Mummy, but the line was way long so we tried to get an Express pass but they had distributed them all by the time we got there which was 10:30! We ended up going to Twister then headed over to Islands. The first thing we got to was the Hulk. Killer ride! (To beat out the lines, we did single riders.) Then we went to Spider-Man, walked through Toon Lagoon and I got my picture taken w/ Betty Boop. We went to Poseidon's Fury, then to Jurassic Park and hopped back over to try and ride Revenge.
The wait was about 95 minutes but we all really wanted to ride so waited in the air-conditioned building for about 40 minutes when a voice comes over the PA system and says that the wait will be a little longer due to techinical difficulties. Some people left but we were determined to ride. About 5 minutes later a voice announces that the ride will be shut down for the technical difficulties and to check back with ride operators for information on when it will be functioning again. As we exit the building, the operators say check back in 30 minutes and it should be ok by then, it is now 4:30. We decide to chill out and rest for awhile. About 20 minutes into our wait, we see that the line is building up again outside of Revenge so we decide to file in. So we stand, sit, and wait in line. The operators keep saying that they don't know when it'll start back up but it should be soon, so we continue to wait. We wait in a line until 6:50 when they finally tell us that it isn't going to start back up before the park closes at 7 and that it should be up later that evening for the Preferred Pass holders who have an invitation for the event tonight. UGH! I seriously didn't want to leave the line b/c I really wanted to ride Revenge!
We were pretty disappointed but we've made plans to come back soon, around June, to get into the Universal's when it opens and get an Express Pass for the ride.
Other than the waiting, it was such an awesome day.

Ok, so yesterday was another dull day in clinic. I went to visit my godchild, Angelica, again. She's too cute! But good grief is she spoiled!
Today I went back to visit her again. As I'm driving in the resort, I see an older gentleman, about 50 years old, gray-haired, thin, with a reddish tan, walking across the street wearing a speedo! I want you to take a moment to picture that. Disturbing; I almost swerved off the road when I saw that. Tourists.
Anyway, I met up with Angelica's cousins and we've made plans to go to Universal's to ride the Hulk and Revenge of the Mummy. I hope everything goes well. The Hulk is in Islands of Adventure but the Mummy is in Universal's. I don't want to pay for 2 parks tomorrow. Oh well, we'll see what happens tomorrow.

So tired, but I can't sleep. Ugh. Clinic was a bore. I finshed reading Joy Luck Club during those long 6 hours and when I got back to my apt, I finished The Alchemist. 2 books done and not one of them pertinent to school. Oh well. I've got more clinic tomorrow and another visit to my godchild and I need to do homework. I think I should go to bed.

Ok, I have some good news and some bad news.

Bad news: Kristen informed me this morning that she is renewing her lease at her apartment and that she no longer is looking for a roommate. She says its b/c it'll be too much trouble and that she only has 1 month off from work. Ok, whatever. But I spoke with Tracy who is looking for a roommate for a 1 bedroom apt where she only spends 2 nights a week. But the lease is up for it at the end of this month, and my lease isn't up until August.

Good news: THEY FIXED THE LEAK!!!! YAY! I come in at 11 this evening b/c I was visiting with my godchild and her family who came down from Charleston to spend her birthday in one of the timeshares that they own. And when I walk in, I actually find a pink maintanence slip on my stove and my floor was mopped up! YAY! I'm happy!

My goddaughter turned 3 on the 18th. She's a cutie. My cousin asked me to be godmother to her son who was born yesterday, lol! It's weird that two of my godchildren are born on the same day, just 3 years apart. And then, My mom's birthday is the 16th and my niece's is on the 17th.
If I tally all the astrological signs for most of my family and friends not including myself, there are 2 Aries, 4 Taurus, 1 Gemini, 2 Cancers, 2 Leos, 1 Virgo, 1 Libra, 4 Scorpios, 1 Sag, and 2 Aquarians. I'm surrounded by Taureans and Scorpios.

Update on "Flooding" Situation as of 1:40 AM May 18, 2004:
The small puddle that I had cleaned up earlier has returned and is much larger! ARGH!!!!
The people below me have called maintanence and I've called them! They need to fix this NOW!!!!!
Ok. So I go to class and hope and pray that someone fixes my fridge. I come back in at 8 PM to find a puddle still under my fridge, but its much smaller, AND that the carpet was vacuumed/cleaned where it was all gross and wet. Whoever came in to fix it left his pliers here, so I'm not sure if they're done or not. I'm gonna assume they aren't b/c I didn't find a pink maintanence slip. My carpets are still damp and I have fans blowing on them. My ghetto-fied computer desk/set-up have been pulled away from the wall. I'm frustrated and definetly looking into a 2/2 Townhouse with Kristen.

Ugh, it's 1:01 AM and I need to shower.

Happy Birthday Nay!
Congratulations College of Charleston Graduates!

I'm back in Orlando. I walked into my apartment and was greeted by a rather unpleasant odor of mildew. I was all confused b/c I wasn't sure where the smell was coming from but as I walk towards my kitchen I discover chaos.
Apparently my fridge is leaking water and it left a huge puddle on my kitchen floor which has seeped into my carpet. I'm "flooding" not only my apartment, but the one below me as well. They called maintenance yesterday and someone came in and moved everything in my kitchen around. I'm not sure why, but they pulled my stove out and then put it back. There's all this nasty dust on my counters now, gross water that continues to puddle under my fridge and soak into my carpets. And all I can smell is wet, mildewy carpet. YUCK!

I am not happy and I think I'm getting a headache from all this mildew.

Yesterday was fun. I vacuumed and tried to straighten up a little. Then I went w/ my mom to visit my aunt & uncle (godparents). Then I went w/ Quinn to Kohl's to see Nalini & Witold. They're having a really nice sale. We had dinner at Shoguns, a Japanese restaurant that my sister-in-law, Liza works at and that most likely I'll be working at too for the summer. Yummy sushi! Then went home and watched a movie w/ my mom.

Today we all went to the Bosch annual picnic. It's like a mini-fair or carnival type thing. Food, music, games & prizes. Quinn and I did the bungee run and wall climb. I kicked her ass in the bungee run and then she completely kicked my ass at the wall climb. Played Bingo and I won a set of cookware. Now we're all tired and worn out from the 4 hours of just walking around and whatever in the sun. I think I'm going to nap now.

Friday, May 14, 2004

It's Friday afternoon and I'm just finishing up my laundry. I tried to straighten up my house b/c it needs a lot of help. I've determined that my family lives in a climate controlled storage space. There is no way of cleaning unless you gut the entire house and start all over, which is impossible due to lack of time, money and manpower. *sigh* Maybe I should apply for Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.

Yesterday was really nice! I spent the evening with Nalini and Witold. We all went to Witold's and had dinner which he had prepared and it was yummy. Then Nalini wanted calamari so we went to Southend Brewery to eat, drink beer and play pool. I completely suck but Nalini kicks ass at pool! Way to go, Nalini! Then we spent some time at Nalini's then went to Harris Teeter and then I went home. It was really nice to see them and just spend some time with them.

Thursday, May 13, 2004

I'm here in Summerville. It's 1:30 AM. Didn't get much time to just chill. I felt like I've been running around in my head for some reason. I dunno. Anyway, I'm hoping to spend time with my bestest friends. Didn't get a chance to call. SORRY!!!! Like I said, kinda running around in my head. I think I'm going to pass out now.

Tuesday, May 11, 2004

I'm so sleepy! And I still have to pack, pray and shower and go to bed at a reasonable time, say 10:30 so I can leave here hopefully at 6 AM. *sigh* but all I do is complain instead of doing something about it, lol. Ok, let me get up off my butt and do some work.
I'm going home tomorrow. It's going to be a long 6 hour drive. I'm getting tired thinking about it. But it will be nice to be home for a little bit.

I was talking to Kristen today and it seems that we might end up being roommates. I don't know for sure if it's going to happen, but we are talking about it. She's really nice and she's got an adorable pug puppy. I'm just not sure I want to live w/ someone. It's kinda nice walking around in your underwear and not having to worry about anyone else. But, I will save money if I get a roommate and it's only 2 years and after that I get to move back home into my parents house..... I think I'm getting depressed.

Monday, May 10, 2004

Ok, so I was supposed to have 2 tests today, but the one in A&P got cancelled. That's not a problem, but it's a little frustrating when you study for it (even if it's just a little) when you could have been doing something else. The other test was in Point Location and I got a 94, yay!

I have another test tomorrow, but I don't want to study for it, but have I ever really wanted to study for a test?!

I'm supposed to go home Wednesday morning, I hope it works out that I do b/c it would be nice to do some laundry again, and of course see everyone. But I think the 6 hours is starting to take its toll on me. If I leave early in the morning, I'll be alright, but the later I wait to leave, the more and more I hate the 6 hour drive.

Sunday, May 09, 2004

Ok, this new Blogger is kinda cool. It just takes some getting used to. If it weren't for my three exams this week (2 Monday and 1 Tuesday) I'd be getting a new template and rearranging my blog. Oh well. Its time to study b/c I haven't done it all week. Wish me luck!

Saturday, May 08, 2004

I woke up this morning thanks to my alarm, but I thought it was Sunday and that I had to go to church. I had put in one contact when I stopped and thought, "Wait, isn't today Saturday?" LOL
Oh well. I'm really bored. Part of me wants to study (only a really small part), part of me wants to exercise (the part that doesn't says "I feel crappy"), another part says to look for a new apartment, and I think the last part says to go shopping, lol.
I'm thinking about moving, but I'm not sure if I'm going to find anything better for a little less money.
If I don't find anything, maybe I can renegotiate my rent when I sign my lease for the year.

Sun + Alcohol = Problems
Rum + Joanne = Problems
Early this afternoon, I decided that I was going to the pool to swim and get some sun. It was so freaking hot that I didn't stay very long. For dinner I decided to go toBahama Breeze. There I decided that I wanted to have an Island Quencher (pretty much vodka & cranberry) and the West Indies Patties. But did I stop there? Noooo. I thought I also wanted a Mojito. That so didn't agree with me but I wasn't about to let it go to waste. The best thing about it was the stick of sugar cane that they put in there. The Mojito made my stomach dance, which isn't good at all. I was afraid that when I went to the restroom, I might have to make an excuse of "The doctors just diagnosed me with bulimia and I'm trying so hard to be good! " (I know, I know. Really bad joke. But I really felt crappy.) I made it home safely. It sucks that I have to drive a couple of miles to drink and then drive back home, when before it was walk/stumble back home along the streets of Charleston.
I'm so drained from the sun and I'm loopy from the alcohol. I'm gonna take a nap.

Thursday, May 06, 2004

Ok, me being Catholic and all (and by that I mean that I also pray to saints), I've been praying for a lot of people lately, especially those with finals. So I've decided to post the prayer I use.

O Glorious St. Anthony, divinely endowed with the learning of the saints, I desire to place my studies under your protection, guided by your example, I wish to draw all my knowledge from the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary, with your assistance, I will study to do my duty, in a spirit of penance, and with a pure intention. May the "Father of Lights" grant me through your intercession and bright intellect, a sound judgment and retentive memory. Help me to study patiently, orderly and constantly to develop in me the gifts of God and always to make good use of them according to His divine will. O dear St. Anthony, grant me to succeed in all my studies and examinations if it be for the greater glory of God and the benefit of my soul. Amen

Good luck everyone!

Did you know that Charleston, SC ranks second in the number of lingerie shops per capita (behind Columbia, SC)? It ranks #6 on the Top 10 Best Cities for Dating.
Today wasn't too bad. In clinic, we just sat around for 7 hours talking and trying to read our palms.
I know it's Cinco de Mayo and I should probably have a cerveza or a margarita, but I don't have the energy to sit at a bar and drink today. Oh well. VIVA! el CINCO DE MAYO!!
Exhausted! But I'm still up, doesn't make sense. Listening to Better Than Ezra's King of New Orleans and Desperately Wanting.

Tuesday, May 04, 2004

I have no idea how I managed to stay awake all day today. I didn't fall asleep til 2 AM and had to wake up around 7:40 this morning. I had a test in the morning. Thank God for giving me an A on this test. Then my afternoon prof., Dr. He (pronounced Hur), thinks I'm such a sweetie and asks if I have a boyfriend and I think has taken it upon herself to tell other students that I'm nice and sweet and that if someone shows some sort of interest in me, sorta play matchmaker. *sigh* Maybe I should be less nice...
But she is a very nice little Chinese doctor, with accent and everything! She's a very sweet little lady, except its terribly hard to figure out what's going on in her class. She's got a point, but she can't quite get to it straight away. It's usually about 20 minutes of lecture that is trying to bring us closer to her point, when it could have easily been a 5 minute talk. Oh well.

Monday, May 03, 2004

It must have been quite a storm last night b/c I didn't make it to class this morning. I woke up wondering why I hadn't heard the alarm. I look at my alarm clock to find blinking numbers. I walk over to my cell phone and see that it's 10:30. What's sad is that I remember being half awake and hearing the sound of a lawn mower and thinking "Why are they working so early in the morning?!" They weren't working early, they were right on time. I was late.

Sunday, May 02, 2004

You know what? Universal Studio's Citywalk pretty much sucks. Paid $8 to park and walk around a small area. The shops suck, they're tiny! I have no idea about the club(s), bars or restaurants, but I'm not sure I want to drive out, pay $8 and find out. It definetly doesn't compare to Downtown Disney, which is free to park and is huge! Oh well.
Us Asians got ourselves a month! Celebrate it now! Asian Pacific American Heritage Month! Also check this out, lol.

Saturday, May 01, 2004

I have no idea why I'm still irritated. It's been this on and off thing and its driving me crazy! And it isn't PMS. *sigh*

Well, I hung out with my cousin today. I completely forgot that he's a CofC alum. He remembers Dr. Deavor and that he always wears khakis, lol. He was even a TA for awhile. I have no idea how long ago that was though. He's been out of grad school for about 5 years, but he was also in the military about 10 years ago.
Well we went to California Pizza Kitchen. Good stuff. We also went to the Cheesecake Factory and got a slice of cheesecake to go. He got a Godiva Chocolate slice and I got a Kahlua Cocoa Coffee slice. Mmmm, cheesecake
Now all I need is some alcohol....
Ooh! You best be watching out! Us Asians are taking over! LOL!
And who would have thought that green tea is even more awesome than it already is?
