It's been a lovely holiday season for me back at home, nice & quiet. One of my new acquisitions is a new cell phone, courtesy of dad, (similar plan as last time, but I can now use my nights & weekends in Florida). I've been playing around with it, you know the usual: new ringtones, covers, wallpapers, etc. Its a Nokia 3575i, nothing fancy. My sister switched hers out for a camera phone. Anyways, I'm now debating on rings. I've got "Waltzing Matilda" right now, but I think I'm gonna download "Linus & Lucy". Oh well.
My mom gave me stationary, Isotoner gloves, sheets and a bunch of little things. My sis gave me 2 books (a Chinese myth book and an Irish fairy tale book) and a lovely cardigan. My "big sis" Melanie gave a butt load of stuff! I received a poncho and purses from my aunts and uncles. Yes Nalini, a poncho, but its cute and great for the holidays.
I gave myself about 10lbs for Christmas. UGH! I've got to do some major overhauling when I get back to Florida.

Christmas, Christmas time is near,
Time for toys and time for cheer,
We've been good, but we can't last
Hurry Christmas, hurry fast,
Want a plane that loops the loop,
Me, I want a hula hoop,
We can hardly stand the wait,
Please Christmas, don't be late.
Want a plane that loops the loop,
I still want a hula hoop,
We can hardly stand the wait,
Please Christmas, don't be late.
We can hardly stand the wait,
Please Christmas, don't be late.

Mele Kalikimaka is the thing to say,
On a bright Hawaiian Christmas Day,
That's the island greeting that we send to you
From the land where palm trees sway,
Here we know that Christmas will be green and bright,
The sun to shine by day and all the stars at night,
Mele Kalikimaka is Hawaii's way
To say "Merry Christmas to you."

Yes, I'm very much in a good Christmas mood. So Happy Holidays to you all!

How happy is the blameless vestal's lot!
The world forgetting, by the world forgot.
Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind!
Each pray'r accepted, and each wish resign'd;
Labour and rest, that equal periods keep;
"Obedient slumbers that can wake and weep;"
Desires compos'd, affections ever ev'n,
Tears that delight, and sighs that waft to Heav'n.
Grace shines around her with serenest beams,
And whisp'ring angels prompt her golden dreams.
For her th' unfading rose of Eden blooms,
And wings of seraphs shed divine perfumes,
For her the Spouse prepares the bridal ring,
For her white virgins hymeneals sing,
To sounds of heav'nly harps she dies away,
And melts in visions of eternal day.

In A Fix

LOL! I have to say that I love, LOVE, the show In A Fix on TLC (Life UnScripted). I love it so much that I know that it is on Mon-Fri. at 7PM and 2AM, on Wed. also on at 8PM and 11PM, Sat 10AM and 5PM, sometimes 1AM Sun and definitely 10AM on Sunday morning. It has gotten so bad that I go home directly after class and clinic, I wake up early on Saturdays to watch it and I go to church at 7:30AM b/c the other mass times are at 9AM and 10:30AM and I would miss my show if I went to mass at those times.

I have lost my mind!!!!! But I LOVE this show!!!!!

I'm always tired, yet I never go to bed on time, or early. Go figure.

Prophesies Are Being Realized

* FDA Approves Use of Chip *

Everyone!!! Please wake up and realize what is going on here! It is stated in Revelations 14:9-12
And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.

If you look here, many people argue about what the mark of the beast is exactly. However, there are strong arguments indicating that it is a type of chip due to the advancement of technology. I am not saying that the end of the world is here, only that the end of what we consider our world is coming. When? Who is to say, but many prophesies are being fulfilled. If you take a look at many sites, including Morgana's Observatory, you will find that there is a lot of evidence that a major change in human existence is about to occur.

I am writing all this because I only want your eyes to be opened and I ask that you do not buy into this, this chip and other technological advancements. Take a look at the movies The Matrix, The Manchurian Candidate, etc. Those movies have information that is channeled into them for us to become aware of our surroundings. Change is inevitable. Just open your eyes and your hearts and realize that there is a force larger than us.

Me = IDIOT
I'm so sorry!!!! I have no idea what I was doing or thinking. I definetly had no sense of time and for some reason just decided to make a phone call. I'm pretty sure it won't happen again. I'll be good. I promise!!!

Ugh!!!!! More storms!!!! This is frustrating, but at the same time, I really don't care. As Trish said it, Apathy is the word of the semester.

ap·a·thy n.
Lack of interest or concern, especially regarding matters of general importance or appeal; indifference.
Lack of emotion or feeling; impassiveness

"Another one bites the dust" Ugh!!!! :'( My brand new cd player, courtesy of my awesomest bestest friends Nalini & Witold just bit the dust. I can't believe it! I was playing a cd on it Saturday night and it worked fine, then Sunday while I'm studying, the cd player starts to sound like a static-y radio or cellphone! I tried a couple of cds and it progressivly got worse to the point where I couldn't hear any music. I unfortunately had to return it to the store and they didn't have another one like it there or any other kind of player there. I'll have to try another store tomorrow although I doubt that they'll have anything in stock b/c of these stupid hurricanes. *sigh* It was such a nice little boombox too. *sniff* :'(

Sunday, September 12, 2004

Can I tell you how sweet and awesome my friends are?!?!? They rock! Even though the September curse is continuing, they made my week by just chillin with me and then they got me a present!! Yay! And it rocks and works! I'm so gonna be listening to music all the time now. Thanks you guys! I love you!!!! *grin*

YAY!!!! *GRIN*

We had a little party me and my friends
A hurricane was coming to [Florida] again
Somebody brought scotch somebody brought beer
I should’ve kept the hooch and thrown’em out of here
A friendly game a penny a hand smoke a cigar act like a man
Waiting for the gale force winds to blow
Shuffle up the cards and let the liquor flow
My hurricane party got out of control
I’m lieing in the gutter eating tootsie rolls
With red ant bites all over my ass
Beating on my buddies with a baseball bat ~"Hurricane Party" Cowboy Mouth

Ah yes, it appears that there will be yet another hurrican heading this way. I'm hoping it goes out to sea, but no school would be nice, but then again that would mean that I wouldn't have a winter break.

Monday, August 23, 2004

Hmm, let's see... a hurricane came through and my roommate and I were extremely lucky. Nalini came down and I met her family and that was way cool. I didn't have school for an entire week which was very relaxing. This past weekend I went to Arabian Nights and Wonder Works, ate all the lobster and crab legs I could (1 lobster and 2 sets of legs) and played laser tag at WW (kinda difficult lugging a purse around with you as you try to shoot others). I was supposed to clean out my old apartment. Now I've got to go and do that before I leave Wednesday. *sigh* So much to do and all I'm doing is goofing off.

Run for your lives! A hurricane's a-coming!
Good grief! It is crazy over here. I just came back from shopping for a few extra items like candles, flashlights, battery operated radio, etc and there is nothing on the shelves! Flashlights are all gone. I actually have 2 but I figured it would be nice to have an extra set for my roomie. Battery operated radios are way expensive. I thought about getting a nice CD, AM/FM radio but that would have been $50 gone right there and its not something I really need. So I bought a shower radio. It's battery-operated, splash resistant and has a built in clock. Only thing is its a Hello Kitty one. Don't get me wrong, I like Hello Kitty and Sanrio stuff. It's just not really me. But it's cute and all and it only cost $10.
Nalini is coming tomorrow and I'm picking her up at the station at 6:50 AM. It'll be Friday the 13th with a Category 2, possibly Category 3 hurricane making landfall sometime in the afternoon. Tomorrow is going to be quite a day!

Friday, August 06, 2004

I'm awake and it's way too late/early. I'm thinking it has to do with the Cokes I drank and the fact that I'm now on my computer in my room! YAY! My new place is cool. It's a lot like a dorm. Not in structure or decor (well except for my room b/c I constantly decorate like a poor college, I mean grad student) but in people (lots of young looking people in this building) and in the ever so popular event of the FIRE ALARM!!! LOL!
Seriously, the second night here, the alarm goes off at 1:30 AM! Most of us got out of the building and we waited for the firemen to arrive. It was a false alarm, thank God. I believe someone pulled the alarm. That's the most exciting event so far.
I should try to go to sleep. I've got to get some of my stuff from my old place here, like a chair for my computer desk. This carpet is rough on the knees.

Tuesday, July 20, 2004

I had such an awesome time Sunday with my sister, Nalini and Witold. We went to Chand Palace and then back to Witold's place where he made me a yummy vodka tonic and gave me allergy medicine b/c I kept sneezing. Nalini introduced Quinn and me to Foamy cartoons. Hilarious!!!!
So a big thanks goes out to Nalini and Witold for such a nice time out together. It's been way too long and unfortunately seems like it'll be awhile again. Nalini and I work opposite schedules so its practically impossible to spend anytime together, let alone talk. Witold is leaving for Norway for a few weeks to do research. By the time he gets back I'll be gone. I have spent very little time with my friends :'(

Thursday, July 15, 2004

I'm back. Had an awesome time. I love my family and I have such a good looking family. I wonder what happened to me, hmm..... lol. I gotta work tomorrow and most likely Saturday. Yay money! Boo work.

Friday, July 09, 2004

AARGH!!!!

OK, I'm leaving today..I mean tonight...um, tomorrow. I don't know but I'm leaving for a mini vacation. I won't have pictures b/c I'm not technologically advanced/equiped for posting pictures somewhere. Oh well. I'll do it the old-fashioned way...a dinner with a slide show presentation!!!! LOL!
I'm tired, REALLY cranky and I hate people who don't have an ounce of compassion or understanding.
Damnit, I take your order, bring you drinks, prep your soup, salad and rice! I have to check in the kitchen to make sure that they are cooking your food. I AM DOING MY BEST!!!!! Stupid, impatient, hungry people. I only have 2 arms and 2 legs and am only one person. I may only have 4 tables to take care of but if they all came in at the same time and are all ordering from the kitchen and sushi and expect their sushi to come out when we only have one sushi chef who is a little slow, what can I do?!?!?! Sheesh!

Saturday, June 26, 2004

I've been so lazy since I've gotten home. All I do is pig out and sleep. I know I've gained 10 lbs since April and I'm making it worse, lol. Oh well, I'm on vacation.
Oh yeah, I got my haircut Thursday. It's shorter.

Monday, June 21, 2004

YAY!!! I've signed a lease with Kristen!!!! It's a 3 bedroom, 2 bath apartment called The Tradition. It's nice and affordable and I'm excited. I hope there aren't any bugs. Now I've got to finish packing and go to sleep so I can leave here by 6 AM!

Friday, June 18, 2004

So, I've been stressing this week about finding an apartment. I used to enjoy the apartment I'm in, but I've had to enjoy the company of several insects, a leaky fridge (which is running fine now), and an old a/c unit. The things I did enjoy about this apartment were the view of the lake, the space(my apt is about 750-800 sq. ft.), and living right next door to a cop (made me feel safe). However, I rarely sit and look at the lake and the cop is moving. So I decided that there were enough signs that said "Move" and I went apartment hunting. All I've found are apartments that are much smaller than mine and that are more expensive than mine. *sigh* I've been praying for a little help and today I get a phone call from Kristen who has decided that she would like to be my roommate. She will be the 3rd Scorpio I've lived with, lol. I'm hoping I'll be good at this roommate thing and that I won't be some weird selfish loner. I've enjoyed being alone for an entire year!

Just finished reading The Da Vinci Code. Awesome book. Go and read it and learn about some very cool, ancient symbols.

Monday, June 14, 2004

Oh my vegetable! I took a 4 hour nap today! I have been drained by the sun! Wow. OK, my biggest suggestion to everyone is to ride Revenge of the Mummy!!!! It's such an awesome ride! Rode it twice in a row, would've done it more times but Larry's wife didn't want to ride it, she's not much of a roller coaster person. But let me tell you about my weekend from the beginning.
Saturday morning I meet up with Larry, his Wife Sara and Larry's friend Brian. We go to Uno's for pizza while they wait for their hotel room. We hang out and talk then head out to the outlets. There we proceed to one of the Discount ticket centers to purchase tickets to Medieval Times. We know that we have to do the whole timeshare tour thing but we plan out that all we are going to say the entire time is "We're just here for the tickets." So now I have to pretend to be Brian's wife/girlfriend and we all head off to Westgate Lakes to experience torture, I mean their tour. I don't know how these people do it, but they have to know that what they sell is pretty much a scam and then that 90% of the people who do the tours are scamming them. Seriously, you want me to pay $20000 for a condo that I can only have 2 weeks out of the year?! So we pretty much pissed off the Westgate people, lol! One of the guys that we had to talk to was like, "That was stupid. You're wasting your time for tickets?" and Larry said "We're saving $160 for tickets, we aren't wasting our time and we don't want to waste anymore of your time." So we get our tickets and haul ass to Medieval Times and along the way, I almost side swipe a car. Had fun at Medieval Times and then I dropped them off at the hotel so we can all get some sleep.
Sunday morning. I meet them at 7 AM, and we proceed to Kissimmee to Cracker Barrel and to find a Discount ticket booth w/o the timeshare. Can't find one so we end up paying full price for tickets out there and head to Universal's. Once inside, Larry, Brian and I run(yes, we seriously ran) straight to the Mummy line. Completely awesome!!!! It rocks! You should seriously ride it. We rode it twice then headed off to Jaws, MIB, Back to the Future, ET and Terminator. We headed out to Margaritaville for lunch with the intention of coming back to ride more rides. We end up doing the Portafino boat ride and resting in the Portafino hotel lobby. Brian gets a room key so we can all look at a room and rest for a little more. Returned the key rode the boat back and decided that we had to call it a day.
Today. I hung out with some friends from class, Trish, Melanie and Carmelina and her sister at Rock Springs. It was a lot of fun to play around in the water. And it's really difficult to walk upstream, lol! Ate at Smokeybones and then came home and passed out for 4 hours. I woke up every now and then but I was TIRED! So now I'll be going back to bed to sleep.

50!!!

YAY!! This is my 50th blog!!!! YAY!!
OK, maybe "YAY!!" is a little much for number 50, but its still intersting to see that I've written in this thing 50 times.
School is over for the summer! My last class was yesterday, and I think I made all A's in my classes, at least I hope so. So now it's summer time but I still have a seminar to attend on the 19th and 20th. And then there's all the apartment hunting I need to do. This is the place I'm really interested in, The Villages.
This Saturday, I'm supposed to hang out with Larry and his wife and we're supposed to go to one of those dinner shows and then go to Universal's on Sunday to ride Revenge of the Mummy. Then Monday, my class is supposed to get together to go tubing!
It's so nice to be on summer break right now!

Monday, May 31, 2004

I've noticed that my blogs are rather boring. It seems all I ever write about is that I have some test I need to study for but I haven't and that I'm tired and need sleep. And maybe I've been a bit selfish in blabbing about my boring day, so for something completely different:

Hi! How are you?
Please respond here
Really? So _(fill in the blank)_ to hear that. How was your day?
and here
Mmhmm...
also here
Wow, really?!
and here
You don't say?
don't forget about here
Oh, good grief! You've got to be kidding?!
and end your response right about here
Oh well. Me? Oh, nothing much. You know, same old stuff, but thanks for asking. Well, I unfortunately must get back to my attempts to study/sleep. It was awesome talking with you. Take care and I'll talk to you soon.
I'm tired but I can't quite fall asleep yet. Thank God there isn't any school tomorrow, but I have a final Tuesday and Wednesday is CPR class.

The 2nd part of I-Ching acupuncture was just Dr. Chen treating students and their family and friends. It's pretty interesting to watch, especially when he drives a needle 1 1/2 - 2 inches into the spine.

I ended up playing the Sims again and my Sim-self got abducted by aliens. I wasn't quite sure if I'd have to start all over again or what, but the aliens ended up bringing me back. It's sad to see how easily I'm amused.

Saturday, May 29, 2004

Today was the I-Ching seminar. It was very interesting. Tomorrow is the second day of the seminar and it'll be more of a Q&A day along with some free treatments for anyone suffering from pain: headache, pain from the shoulders and on down the arms and/or pain in the legs down. Maybe he'll show us more back pain treatments but I don't know if anyone, other than Ben, is interested in having a 24-28 gauge needle shoved into their spinal cord.

I removed the Sims from my computer today. If I didn't, I wouldn't be here writing in this blog, lol. But I did manage to make a Sims Nalini and a Sims Witold. I just need to add a Sims Quinn, Tiffany, and Gilbert. Maybe a Sims Cat as well, but then I'll definetly need to throw in some single Sims guys, which I don't know of any, lol. Oh good grief, I'm addicted to Sims. Gilbert told me I need to get the Sims Hot Date expansion. Maybe my Sims won't be so depressed then...

Friday, May 28, 2004

Thank you to everyone who has been praying for my mom, she was in the hospital for 1 night of observation and all the tests that they ran came back negative which is good b/c it means she didn't have a heartattack. But, we have no idea what's wrong. Hopefully everything will be taken care of soon.

Made a huge mistake by buying The Sims. I spent 6 hours playing and didn't even realize it! I'm so in trouble especially with finals just around the corner! Oh well, this will be a lesson in self control, which I so don't have.

Monday, May 24, 2004

Before I get started, I'm asking a for a favor from those who read this and it's for prayers for my mom. She's in the hospital for observation and tests b/c she was experiencing stabbing chest pains that radiated slightly to the left and straight through to her back along with some pain in her arms. So please pray that they find out what's wrong and can fix it. Thanks.

On a much lighter note, yay! I'm part of Team Sushi(Nalini, Witold, Quinn, and myself)! Lol! I think we need a t-shirt or bumper sticker or something now.

Congrats to Nalini for 3 jobs! She'll be raking in the $$$.

The Swan finale pageant was on tonight. That show is one of my guilty pleasures, lol. And tomorrow night is the American Idol finale! It's a good thing I don't have to worry about tests right now.

Sunday, May 23, 2004

Woohoo!!!! I had a blast today with Larry and Steven, Angelica's cousins. We decided that we were going to go to Islands of Adventure and skip out on Universals's Studios b/c Islands had more rides. I was going to use my AAA membership for a discount, but we found out that they only use discounts on 2 or 3 day passes. A 1 day pass is about $58 and a 1 day hopper pass is $74. We found out about a place that sells unused passes at a discount price and were very lucky to get 3 1 day hopper passes for about $48 a piece!
We went straight to Universal's Studios to ride Revenge of the Mummy, but the line was way long so we tried to get an Express pass but they had distributed them all by the time we got there which was 10:30! We ended up going to Twister then headed over to Islands. The first thing we got to was the Hulk. Killer ride! (To beat out the lines, we did single riders.) Then we went to Spider-Man, walked through Toon Lagoon and I got my picture taken w/ Betty Boop. We went to Poseidon's Fury, then to Jurassic Park and hopped back over to try and ride Revenge.
The wait was about 95 minutes but we all really wanted to ride so waited in the air-conditioned building for about 40 minutes when a voice comes over the PA system and says that the wait will be a little longer due to techinical difficulties. Some people left but we were determined to ride. About 5 minutes later a voice announces that the ride will be shut down for the technical difficulties and to check back with ride operators for information on when it will be functioning again. As we exit the building, the operators say check back in 30 minutes and it should be ok by then, it is now 4:30. We decide to chill out and rest for awhile. About 20 minutes into our wait, we see that the line is building up again outside of Revenge so we decide to file in. So we stand, sit, and wait in line. The operators keep saying that they don't know when it'll start back up but it should be soon, so we continue to wait. We wait in a line until 6:50 when they finally tell us that it isn't going to start back up before the park closes at 7 and that it should be up later that evening for the Preferred Pass holders who have an invitation for the event tonight. UGH! I seriously didn't want to leave the line b/c I really wanted to ride Revenge!
We were pretty disappointed but we've made plans to come back soon, around June, to get into the Universal's when it opens and get an Express Pass for the ride.
Other than the waiting, it was such an awesome day.

Friday, May 21, 2004

Ok, so yesterday was another dull day in clinic. I went to visit my godchild, Angelica, again. She's too cute! But good grief is she spoiled!
Today I went back to visit her again. As I'm driving in the resort, I see an older gentleman, about 50 years old, gray-haired, thin, with a reddish tan, walking across the street wearing a speedo! I want you to take a moment to picture that. Disturbing; I almost swerved off the road when I saw that. Tourists.
Anyway, I met up with Angelica's cousins and we've made plans to go to Universal's to ride the Hulk and Revenge of the Mummy. I hope everything goes well. The Hulk is in Islands of Adventure but the Mummy is in Universal's. I don't want to pay for 2 parks tomorrow. Oh well, we'll see what happens tomorrow.

Thursday, May 20, 2004

So tired, but I can't sleep. Ugh. Clinic was a bore. I finshed reading Joy Luck Club during those long 6 hours and when I got back to my apt, I finished The Alchemist. 2 books done and not one of them pertinent to school. Oh well. I've got more clinic tomorrow and another visit to my godchild and I need to do homework. I think I should go to bed.

Wednesday, May 19, 2004

Ok, I have some good news and some bad news.

Bad news: Kristen informed me this morning that she is renewing her lease at her apartment and that she no longer is looking for a roommate. She says its b/c it'll be too much trouble and that she only has 1 month off from work. Ok, whatever. But I spoke with Tracy who is looking for a roommate for a 1 bedroom apt where she only spends 2 nights a week. But the lease is up for it at the end of this month, and my lease isn't up until August.

Good news: THEY FIXED THE LEAK!!!! YAY! I come in at 11 this evening b/c I was visiting with my godchild and her family who came down from Charleston to spend her birthday in one of the timeshares that they own. And when I walk in, I actually find a pink maintanence slip on my stove and my floor was mopped up! YAY! I'm happy!

My goddaughter turned 3 on the 18th. She's a cutie. My cousin asked me to be godmother to her son who was born yesterday, lol! It's weird that two of my godchildren are born on the same day, just 3 years apart. And then, My mom's birthday is the 16th and my niece's is on the 17th.
If I tally all the astrological signs for most of my family and friends not including myself, there are 2 Aries, 4 Taurus, 1 Gemini, 2 Cancers, 2 Leos, 1 Virgo, 1 Libra, 4 Scorpios, 1 Sag, and 2 Aquarians. I'm surrounded by Taureans and Scorpios.

Update on "Flooding" Situation as of 1:40 AM May 18, 2004:
The small puddle that I had cleaned up earlier has returned and is much larger! ARGH!!!!
The people below me have called maintanence and I've called them! They need to fix this NOW!!!!!
Ok. So I go to class and hope and pray that someone fixes my fridge. I come back in at 8 PM to find a puddle still under my fridge, but its much smaller, AND that the carpet was vacuumed/cleaned where it was all gross and wet. Whoever came in to fix it left his pliers here, so I'm not sure if they're done or not. I'm gonna assume they aren't b/c I didn't find a pink maintanence slip. My carpets are still damp and I have fans blowing on them. My ghetto-fied computer desk/set-up have been pulled away from the wall. I'm frustrated and definetly looking into a 2/2 Townhouse with Kristen.

Ugh, it's 1:01 AM and I need to shower.

Sunday, May 16, 2004

Happy Birthday Nay!
Congratulations College of Charleston Graduates!

I'm back in Orlando. I walked into my apartment and was greeted by a rather unpleasant odor of mildew. I was all confused b/c I wasn't sure where the smell was coming from but as I walk towards my kitchen I discover chaos.
Apparently my fridge is leaking water and it left a huge puddle on my kitchen floor which has seeped into my carpet. I'm "flooding" not only my apartment, but the one below me as well. They called maintenance yesterday and someone came in and moved everything in my kitchen around. I'm not sure why, but they pulled my stove out and then put it back. There's all this nasty dust on my counters now, gross water that continues to puddle under my fridge and soak into my carpets. And all I can smell is wet, mildewy carpet. YUCK!

I am not happy and I think I'm getting a headache from all this mildew.

Saturday, May 15, 2004

Yesterday was fun. I vacuumed and tried to straighten up a little. Then I went w/ my mom to visit my aunt & uncle (godparents). Then I went w/ Quinn to Kohl's to see Nalini & Witold. They're having a really nice sale. We had dinner at Shoguns, a Japanese restaurant that my sister-in-law, Liza works at and that most likely I'll be working at too for the summer. Yummy sushi! Then went home and watched a movie w/ my mom.

Today we all went to the Bosch annual picnic. It's like a mini-fair or carnival type thing. Food, music, games & prizes. Quinn and I did the bungee run and wall climb. I kicked her ass in the bungee run and then she completely kicked my ass at the wall climb. Played Bingo and I won a set of cookware. Now we're all tired and worn out from the 4 hours of just walking around and whatever in the sun. I think I'm going to nap now.

Friday, May 14, 2004

It's Friday afternoon and I'm just finishing up my laundry. I tried to straighten up my house b/c it needs a lot of help. I've determined that my family lives in a climate controlled storage space. There is no way of cleaning unless you gut the entire house and start all over, which is impossible due to lack of time, money and manpower. *sigh* Maybe I should apply for Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.

Yesterday was really nice! I spent the evening with Nalini and Witold. We all went to Witold's and had dinner which he had prepared and it was yummy. Then Nalini wanted calamari so we went to Southend Brewery to eat, drink beer and play pool. I completely suck but Nalini kicks ass at pool! Way to go, Nalini! Then we spent some time at Nalini's then went to Harris Teeter and then I went home. It was really nice to see them and just spend some time with them.

I'm here in Summerville. It's 1:30 AM. Didn't get much time to just chill. I felt like I've been running around in my head for some reason. I dunno. Anyway, I'm hoping to spend time with my bestest friends. Didn't get a chance to call. SORRY!!!! Like I said, kinda running around in my head. I think I'm going to pass out now.

Tuesday, May 11, 2004

I'm so sleepy! And I still have to pack, pray and shower and go to bed at a reasonable time, say 10:30 so I can leave here hopefully at 6 AM. *sigh* but all I do is complain instead of doing something about it, lol. Ok, let me get up off my butt and do some work.
I'm going home tomorrow. It's going to be a long 6 hour drive. I'm getting tired thinking about it. But it will be nice to be home for a little bit.

I was talking to Kristen today and it seems that we might end up being roommates. I don't know for sure if it's going to happen, but we are talking about it. She's really nice and she's got an adorable pug puppy. I'm just not sure I want to live w/ someone. It's kinda nice walking around in your underwear and not having to worry about anyone else. But, I will save money if I get a roommate and it's only 2 years and after that I get to move back home into my parents house..... I think I'm getting depressed.

Monday, May 10, 2004

Ok, so I was supposed to have 2 tests today, but the one in A&P got cancelled. That's not a problem, but it's a little frustrating when you study for it (even if it's just a little) when you could have been doing something else. The other test was in Point Location and I got a 94, yay!

I have another test tomorrow, but I don't want to study for it, but have I ever really wanted to study for a test?!

I'm supposed to go home Wednesday morning, I hope it works out that I do b/c it would be nice to do some laundry again, and of course see everyone. But I think the 6 hours is starting to take its toll on me. If I leave early in the morning, I'll be alright, but the later I wait to leave, the more and more I hate the 6 hour drive.

Sunday, May 09, 2004

Ok, this new Blogger is kinda cool. It just takes some getting used to. If it weren't for my three exams this week (2 Monday and 1 Tuesday) I'd be getting a new template and rearranging my blog. Oh well. Its time to study b/c I haven't done it all week. Wish me luck!

Saturday, May 08, 2004

I woke up this morning thanks to my alarm, but I thought it was Sunday and that I had to go to church. I had put in one contact when I stopped and thought, "Wait, isn't today Saturday?" LOL
Oh well. I'm really bored. Part of me wants to study (only a really small part), part of me wants to exercise (the part that doesn't says "I feel crappy"), another part says to look for a new apartment, and I think the last part says to go shopping, lol.
I'm thinking about moving, but I'm not sure if I'm going to find anything better for a little less money.
If I don't find anything, maybe I can renegotiate my rent when I sign my lease for the year.

Sun + Alcohol = Problems
Rum + Joanne = Problems
Early this afternoon, I decided that I was going to the pool to swim and get some sun. It was so freaking hot that I didn't stay very long. For dinner I decided to go toBahama Breeze. There I decided that I wanted to have an Island Quencher (pretty much vodka & cranberry) and the West Indies Patties. But did I stop there? Noooo. I thought I also wanted a Mojito. That so didn't agree with me but I wasn't about to let it go to waste. The best thing about it was the stick of sugar cane that they put in there. The Mojito made my stomach dance, which isn't good at all. I was afraid that when I went to the restroom, I might have to make an excuse of "The doctors just diagnosed me with bulimia and I'm trying so hard to be good! " (I know, I know. Really bad joke. But I really felt crappy.) I made it home safely. It sucks that I have to drive a couple of miles to drink and then drive back home, when before it was walk/stumble back home along the streets of Charleston.
I'm so drained from the sun and I'm loopy from the alcohol. I'm gonna take a nap.

Thursday, May 06, 2004

Ok, me being Catholic and all (and by that I mean that I also pray to saints), I've been praying for a lot of people lately, especially those with finals. So I've decided to post the prayer I use.

O Glorious St. Anthony, divinely endowed with the learning of the saints, I desire to place my studies under your protection, guided by your example, I wish to draw all my knowledge from the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary, with your assistance, I will study to do my duty, in a spirit of penance, and with a pure intention. May the "Father of Lights" grant me through your intercession and bright intellect, a sound judgment and retentive memory. Help me to study patiently, orderly and constantly to develop in me the gifts of God and always to make good use of them according to His divine will. O dear St. Anthony, grant me to succeed in all my studies and examinations if it be for the greater glory of God and the benefit of my soul. Amen

Good luck everyone!

Did you know that Charleston, SC ranks second in the number of lingerie shops per capita (behind Columbia, SC)? It ranks #6 on the Top 10 Best Cities for Dating.
Today wasn't too bad. In clinic, we just sat around for 7 hours talking and trying to read our palms.
I know it's Cinco de Mayo and I should probably have a cerveza or a margarita, but I don't have the energy to sit at a bar and drink today. Oh well. VIVA! el CINCO DE MAYO!!
Exhausted! But I'm still up, doesn't make sense. Listening to Better Than Ezra's King of New Orleans and Desperately Wanting.

Tuesday, May 04, 2004

I have no idea how I managed to stay awake all day today. I didn't fall asleep til 2 AM and had to wake up around 7:40 this morning. I had a test in the morning. Thank God for giving me an A on this test. Then my afternoon prof., Dr. He (pronounced Hur), thinks I'm such a sweetie and asks if I have a boyfriend and I think has taken it upon herself to tell other students that I'm nice and sweet and that if someone shows some sort of interest in me, sorta play matchmaker. *sigh* Maybe I should be less nice...
But she is a very nice little Chinese doctor, with accent and everything! She's a very sweet little lady, except its terribly hard to figure out what's going on in her class. She's got a point, but she can't quite get to it straight away. It's usually about 20 minutes of lecture that is trying to bring us closer to her point, when it could have easily been a 5 minute talk. Oh well.

Monday, May 03, 2004

It must have been quite a storm last night b/c I didn't make it to class this morning. I woke up wondering why I hadn't heard the alarm. I look at my alarm clock to find blinking numbers. I walk over to my cell phone and see that it's 10:30. What's sad is that I remember being half awake and hearing the sound of a lawn mower and thinking "Why are they working so early in the morning?!" They weren't working early, they were right on time. I was late.

Sunday, May 02, 2004

You know what? Universal Studio's Citywalk pretty much sucks. Paid $8 to park and walk around a small area. The shops suck, they're tiny! I have no idea about the club(s), bars or restaurants, but I'm not sure I want to drive out, pay $8 and find out. It definetly doesn't compare to Downtown Disney, which is free to park and is huge! Oh well.
Us Asians got ourselves a month! Celebrate it now! Asian Pacific American Heritage Month! Also check this out, lol.

Saturday, May 01, 2004

I have no idea why I'm still irritated. It's been this on and off thing and its driving me crazy! And it isn't PMS. *sigh*

Well, I hung out with my cousin today. I completely forgot that he's a CofC alum. He remembers Dr. Deavor and that he always wears khakis, lol. He was even a TA for awhile. I have no idea how long ago that was though. He's been out of grad school for about 5 years, but he was also in the military about 10 years ago.
Well we went to California Pizza Kitchen. Good stuff. We also went to the Cheesecake Factory and got a slice of cheesecake to go. He got a Godiva Chocolate slice and I got a Kahlua Cocoa Coffee slice. Mmmm, cheesecake
Now all I need is some alcohol....
Ooh! You best be watching out! Us Asians are taking over! LOL!
And who would have thought that green tea is even more awesome than it already is?

Friday, April 30, 2004

LOL! I look at my inbox and there's this e-mail with the subject line: It's 10-year reunion time for Dubose Middle School Class of 1994!
That's hilarious! I can't believe it's been 10 years since I've been in middle school! It's crazy. Gosh, I'm trying to remember the things I did and who my friends were and stuff... *twitch, shudder* OK, some of it wasn't so pleasant, but shoot, I was 13 years old.

Well other than that, another one of my many cousins is in town this weekend. I think he's a cardiac nurse practitioner. VERY smart. He might be taking me out to dinner tomorrow night, yay free food!

Today I decided to buy a palm reading book. It's very interesting. And I've determined I need more lights in my apartment...

Thursday, April 29, 2004

I hate cravings, especially when you don't know what you want. You just end up wandering the kitchen trying almost everything and still not being satisfied. Sad part is I'm not hungry. What's worse is that I'm trying to save money b/c all I seem to do is spend it on outside food. I can cook, but I just don't want to. I'm being lazy. I think I want fruit smoothies, without yogurt, or a mocha freeze type thing, or maybe something with coconut!
Good grief, I'm gonna screw up my spleen if I do that.

Wednesday, April 28, 2004

Today has been Astrology day instead of clinic day. I gave Tracey some awesome Western astrology information for her and some guy named John, and Steve gave her some equally awesome Vedic astrology info. She's gonna have fun this weekend!

My 7 hours of clinic were spent listening to my classmates instead of observing patients. There weren't many patients today so it really didn't matter what we did. I'm amazed by my classmates backgrounds and personal history. We are such a diverse group of people and for the most part, we get along with each other. We're Class 22 and the number 22 is a master number. Supposedly it means Master Builder, large endeavors, powerful force, a leader. I think a lot of good things will come from our class, although I'm not exactly the most active participant. (I'm so lazy)

After clinic, I went to Borders and just hung out for an hour. I love just sitting in a book store sipping on some ice cold, caffeineted beverage, mmmm. I keep wanting to buy astrology books and now I've added palm reading books as well. I did get 2 coupons for books there though, hmm....

What else.... Tiffany called me today, Yay! She's a lot of fun to talk to and just chill with, very laid back and silly. And her and Gilbert are too cute together!

I guess thats about it. Not too bad today. Hopefully tomorrow will be just as pleasan, although its supposed to rain in the afternoon.

Tuesday, April 27, 2004

I'm bored and irritated right now. Maybe it's something astrological. I don't know. Hope it'll pass.

Today wasn't too bad. Had class, went to P.F. Chang's at the Mall at Millenia with Dan and Kathy for lunch. We had Chang's Chicken in Soothing Lettuce Wraps, Salt & Pepper Calamari, Sichuan from the Sea (w/ scallops), Mongolian Beef, and Singapore Street Noodles. YUM! I'm drooling just thinking about it! And we have leftovers for lunch tomorrow during clinic. YAY!
I got some astrology info for a classmate and a guy she's interested in, it looks pretty good. It seems that the Vedic Astrology info she got from Steve also gives her good signs.

Lol, I just made Tiffany blush.

I'm not so irritated anymore, still bored though.
OK, I have NO idea why I'm not in bed yet when I've been complaining about my lack of sleep! Instead, I'm here playing around on this Blog and checking my e-mail.

Monday, April 26, 2004

OK. I stand corrected. I'm having a Monday. Lol. But I don't think that the extra sleep could hurt.
I didn't fall asleep in class, but I didn't exactly pay complete attention either.
I'm tired, bored and grumpy. I think I need more sleep.

Class was class. I got an A on my test this morning, how I don't know, but I'm very happy.
Grabbed some tea from Teavana. Awesome place. I think the picture on the site is the store here at the Florida Mall.
Mmmmm, tea.
Maybe I'll have some more tea to put me in a better mood...
So not feeling the hour long break within class. I could be in my apartment or bookstore or something, but no, I'm here trying to not fall asleep in class. *Sigh*
Whatever.

Sunday, April 25, 2004

Back home after a nice weekend home. It's so nice to have your own space again and such, aahhh
Charleston was nice. Got to spend time with friends and family, which is all I want to do.
I drove in Wednesday and hung out. Ended up going to Nalini's and seeing her and Witold and giving Matt a treatment. Nalini finally got a Blog! YAY!!! Check it out here!
Thursday evening I got to hang out with friends again at the Stern Center. That was fun. I think the most entertaining part of Thursday was seeing Matt and Witold get impatient waiting for wristbands that they opened up a bottle of beer and stood by a table that was part of school property so they wouldn't be drinking on the streets of Charleston, lol!
Friday was nice and quiet and so was Saturday. Well actually Saturday I woke up to walk at the March of Dimes thing in Charleston with my mom, but we got there late so I ended up just hanging around then harassing my sister before she went to Oozeball and harassing Nalini and Witold.
And now its Sunday and I'm back in Orlando and I have a test in Anatomy&Physiology on the Endocrine system tomorrow and I haven't studied yet. *Sigh* I want to play with my blog and try to figure out how to put on a Tag Board.

Monday, April 19, 2004

Ugh! What a mess! I have clean and dirty clothes on my floor, clean clothes in my clothes bag (I haven't unpacked from when I went home for Easter yet!) and papers and books everywhere and I don't study! LOL! I should clean but I'm being very lazy. VERY lazy. Oh well.
I must say that I'm thrilled that my sister and her fiance broke up! YAY!!! She's too young to be tied down.
It is funny though. She's younger and was engaged. And me being older, more responsible but not really able to date. Ha! Well, I am able to date. I'm not quite sure if that's a good thing or bad one yet. Too much drama all around me, I don't think I want a piece of that yet. Maybe I should just be single for awhile, with a hint of bitterness. Not too bitter, just a little bit so that I have this aura of angst or something. LOL! Yeah right... No, just the single will do for now...

Tuesday, April 13, 2004

LOL! Did you know that it's really, REALLY hard to pretend you're sober when you're not? LOL!
Yeah, I spent over an hour in the mall today trying to sober up as quickly as possible. (Ended up spending $15 at Frederick's)
I had a vodka tonic (double), Washington red ( I think a double as well), and a Blue Moon in about an hour, hour & a half. Tried to play pool, which isn't easy when you can't hold the cue still. But anyways, I was celebrating w/ a classmate b/c we got A's on 2 tests today! YAY us!!!

Thursday, April 01, 2004

So it's April 1st, April Fool's Day. Only one person played a trick on me and it wasn't even much, which is good. Ben said that he thought Chris needled into his eye b/c he thought he saw blood when he looked in the mirror. As weird as that sounds for someone to have a needle anywhere near the eyes, it's just an acupuncture thing. Chris didn't needle Ben's eye; just right near it, which he was supposed to anyways.
I didn't feel like getting a treatment today, I'll just have to deal with not having any herbs for awhile... No, not those type of herbs, sheesh. I'm talking about Shi Quan Da Bu Wan.

I've got a friend whose got a blog on here! Although I should ask if he would mind me having a link to his blog, I'm just gonna go ahead and post it up here to give him publicity, since sooo many people read my blog. HA! Anyways, visit Witold's blog!
All that's left is for Nalini to get one....

Welcome to April and watch out for the Mercury retrograde starting on the 6th.
